This is a great old steakhouse very rustic. The little bar is amazing and the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole staff was amazing and very attentive. The all you can eat salad bar was very good and had all kinds of choices! They brought the whole ribeye out and cut my steak in front of me. It was cooked perfectly!!!
During our Greenville visit, we dined at The Peddler Steakhouse, a highly recommended establishment. The restaurant's ambiance was exquisite, both inside and out, with a beautifully appointed interior. Beautiful place, great service, we ordered a jumbo Shrimp cocktail as a starter, then a Peddler Ribeye of Apx 16 oz and a NY Strip. The meats were exquisite, juicy and cooked just as we ordered. We ordered 4 cocktails and everything came to $150. It was definitely worth it. The price was good for the experience, the place, the atmosphere. The plus was definitely when they bring you the whole meat and chop it in front of you, asking you how big you want your meat.
Amazing food, the prime rib was perfect. Filet Mignon, ribeye snd many seafood options. The chef will come out and you can pick the type of cut you want. All you can eat salad bar, many choice options, and even a kids menu. Beautifu l 110 year old stone building, cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Reservations suggested. Cannot wait to go back.
I have visited and ate at the peddler many times through the years, and it was always superb until the last trip I made and celebrated with friends. What a change for the worse! The salad bar was and always is awesome, but the dinners we all ordered were terrible, very substandard. Food was like warm, tiny portions, steaks were not good. A big disappointment! Prices way too high for that kind of quality. Service mediocre. We would only come back for just the salad bar in the future.
