I arrived at the drive thru at 5:55 pm. The sign above was green and said "open". The lady in front of me was taking longer than usual but finished at 6:00. There was no customer following me. As I pulled up to the window, the teller shut the curtain leaving me alone and staring at the blank window. There is no excuse for this quality of customer service. Changing the name of this credit union seems to be a symptom of their downhill slide. After more than 30 years using this credit union, I will be taking my money elsewhere.
I've been a member for a long time (since the University Federal CU days). They keep wasting money on rebranding, yet there are continuous technical issues with their online banking: credit card charges get posted twice, payments do not post properly, bill pay doesn't work properly, credit card points cannot be redeemed for cash back, etc. Oh, and the best part is they keep changing cash back terms all the time increasing number of points required to redeem. I have been banking with this credit union for over 20 years and I’m sad to see that their commitment to community has changed drastically, and not for the better. Now they have changed their name for a third time and it’s obvious that their name and image is more important than the actual services they provide for their members and the community as a whole. This “credit union” doesn’t even have enough liquid capital or credit underwriting capabilities, to match any other lenders, banks or institutions offers. They gladly take members money but stingily won’t lend it on credit when asked. Anyone would be better off with a local or national bank, or competitive credit union. I’ve regrettably been with UFirst for several years & they have fallen short in supporting their members. Been a member at university for 10+ Went to a local grocery store and card got denied for fraud. I was on hold for 40 minutes when it was something that shouldn’t have happened. I was unaware of the name change and a member called saying they are with canyon view I thought it was fraud. I’m not pleased one bit. Leaving this credit union for mountain America. I’m sure more people will follow.
